# Dénia - Els Molins — Dénia, Spain

Bay of Platja dels Molins or Punta de l'Estanyó, in Les Marines (Dénia), with the Montgó behind. The Comunitat's nautical guide describes it as a beach highly valued by the most experienced kiters and windsurfers due to its strong winds, the only one in the Comunitat where you can ride with three wind directions, and advises against it for beginners: gusts change without warning.

Being north-facing, the good wind is the Poniente and the Mestral from November to March, side-shore and up to 25 kt, with waves for small jumps; the Gregal comes in side-onshore with waves. The summer afternoon thermal blows offshore here: in summer, Les Deveses is better.

Careful: the sand is narrow in front of the houses and there are rocks and posidonia meadows in the water. A kite and wingfoil school gives lessons on this beach on calm days. There are restaurants and a car park a few metres away, and nautical rental in Les Bovetes. In summer, you can only enter the water through a buoyed channel.

- **Gregal / Llevant** — NE (50°), 15–30 kn. Northeast from autumn and winter storms: comes in side-onshore with waves.. Swell and currents near the shore; only with wave experience.
- **Garbí (térmica)** — SSE (160°), 10–20 kn. The south-southeast thermal of summer afternoons blows offshore on this north-facing beach.. Offshore wind here: in summer, Les Deveses is better.
