# La Manga - Pudrimel Sur — San Javier, Spain

Pudrimel Sur is the large beach on the Mediterranean side of La Manga, in the bay north of El Estacio. It is sand open to the sea, unlike the lagoon beaches, and is the side of La Manga that works with Levante.

With Levante, a north-east-east wind, you ride side-on with waves. In winter, strong Levante kicks up large and messy waves, only for experienced riders. With Norte, the wind is parallel to the shore and there are fewer waves. Suitable for kitesurf, wingfoil, and windsurf.

To the south is the Estacio channel, with currents and boat traffic: do not let yourself be dragged towards it. During the bathing season, the beachfront is buoyed for swimmers. Forecasts are checked with ARPEGE, ECMWF, and ICON.
