Pedregalejo is the coast of the coves: several small bays of dark sand protected by rock breakwaters and round bastions, with calm and shallow water inside each one. It is the easiest place in Málaga to learn SUP and to paddle without waves, and from here the coast continues towards El Palo. The spot is on the sand between the two eastern coves: you enter the water through either of them and exit through the mouth between breakwaters, already in open waters. We have not found a specific school or rental on this beach; the nearest ones are in El Palo and in La Malagueta, and the chiringuitos on the promenade can provide information. Hazards and rules: the breakwaters and bastions are made of rocks and are right on the exit route; with Terral the wind blows from land to sea and pushes you away from the shore. In the buoyed swimming area you cannot ride with a board: the marked channels are used. Forecasts are checked with ARPEGE, ECMWF and ICON.
