# Tarifa - Mirador del Estrecho — Tarifa, Spain

A strip of gravel and stone on the coast of the Estrecho Natural Park, east of Tarifa and below the Mirador del Estrecho. This is not a kite beach with facilities: it is an exposed stretch of coastline, with a dirt track behind it and a rocky platform at the water's edge. It works with Levante and Poniente, both almost parallel to the shore, and is an area for experienced riders: strong currents, gusts, maritime traffic and no lifeguards or services. Wind data is based on the local climate; no consulted guide describes this point as a spot, so confirm access and park regulations before going.

Strong gusts and gusty conditions near the coastal hills. The shore is a rocky platform: maintain height and do not ride close to land.
- **Poniente** — W (270°), 15–30 kn. West wind, less frequent than the Levante. It blows almost parallel to the shore and with an offshore component.. Offshore component: if your gear fails you will drift away from the shore, with strong Estrecho currents and maritime traffic. Only with water safety.
